April and her friend Alex are going to see their boyfriends at Aprils boyfriend Billy’s house. April is texting Billy making sure they can still come over and everything. While April is doing that Alex is already getting into the car so they can leave. April starts driving and they are on the way to Billy’s house. Alex is telling her about what her and her boyfriend Tommy have planned for the night because it’s their 5 month anniversary. April is paying more attention to Alex than the street. She keeps feeling her phone vibrate but she keeps driving because she really wants to get to Billy’s house before dinner so they can all eat together. She gets another text message and she can’t take not knowing what’s going on so she looks at it to see who it’s from, it’s from Billy. The text message says “where are you??”  That was the last text message Billy ever sent April again. While April was reading the text message she ran a red light and ended up getting hit by two cars and hitting another car. Billy started to get worried about the girls so he and Tommy start texting and calling them trying to find out where they are.  Tommy heard a fire truck outside but he didn’t know what street it was on while they were getting ready for dinner to start. They started to think the worst for the girls because they should have been there by now. Billy’s mom had the news on while they started to eat dinner. The news was saying how two teenage girls were killed today in a car crash and it happened a few blocks away from Billy’s house. Billy and Tommy both started crying because they knew that it was their girlfriends and that’s why they didn’t show up. They didn’t know what to think. Billy and Tommy both lost their girlfriends that night because April read a text message sent from her boyfriend Billy.
